What does Vijayalakshmi Matrimony cost?+

A single one-time registration fee, and nothing else. Your profile is saved and published when it is paid.

Who can see my profile?+

Anyone visiting the site can see a short public summary — name shortened to a first name and initial, age, education, community and sub-caste, star and rasi, and your photo. The full profile, including birth details, family details and the jathagam, opens only to registered members who are signed in. You can pause your listing at any time to hide it completely.

When is my contact information shared?+

Never to another member. Your phone number and e-mail are held by our office only, and are never shown on your profile or released to anyone browsing the site. When two families want to take a match forward, they call our office quoting the profile ID and we make the introduction ourselves.

What is the Tamil Porutham?+

It's the classical Tamil compatibility system based on nakshatra (birth star) and rasi (moon sign), covering eleven of the twelve Tamil poruthams — Dina, Gana, Mahendra, Sthree Deergha, Yoni, Rasi, Rasyadhipathi, Vasiya, Rajju, Vedha and Nadi. We compute it automatically once both profiles have star & rasi filled in (auto-derived from the birth details) — treat it as an educational guide alongside your family priest's advice.

How is the jathagam generated?+

Enter the date, time and place of birth on the profile form and the jathagam is computed instantly — sidereal planetary positions, rasi & navamsa charts in the South Indian style, nakshatra with pada, lagna and dasa details. You can also type the details manually if you already have them.

Can I pause my profile?+

Yes — from "My Profile" you can pause your listing at any time to hide it from browse, and reactivate it whenever you're ready.

How many photos can I add?+

Up to four photos per profile — pick any one as the display picture. They're stored only on this server, never shared with third parties.

Can I search by community, location or age?+

Yes — the Browse page lets you filter by gender, age range, community, city/native place, marital status and keyword, and sort by newest or age.
