Privacy Policy
Your privacy is central to how this platform is built. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
- Account details — name, e-mail address and a password (stored only as a salted cryptographic hash).
- Profile details — the matrimony information you choose to enter: personal, family, education, community, and birth details (date, time, place) used to generate the jathagam.
- Photos — up to four per profile, stored on our server only.
- Usage records — counts of interests, contact views and porutham checks, used to enforce plan allowances.
2. How your information is used
- A short public summary of your published profile — your name shortened to a first name and initial, age, education, community and sub-caste, star and rasi, and your photo — is visible to anyone visiting the site, including search engines.
- Your full profile, including date of birth, birth time and place, the jathagam, family details and your written sections, is shown only to registered members who are signed in.
- Your phone number and e-mail address are never shown to another member and are never included in any public listing. They are held by our office, which makes introductions on request.
- Pausing your profile removes it from both the public summary listing and member search.
- Birth details are used to compute the jathagam and porutham by this website’s own software; they are not sent to any third-party service.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by Cashfree Payments India Private Limited. We receive only the order ID, payment ID and plan confirmation — never your card, UPI or banking credentials. The payment gateway's own privacy policy governs the payment step.
4. Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers. Information is disclosed only if required by law.
5. Retention & deletion
You can pause a profile (hides it from browse) or delete it entirely from Manage Profiles — deletion removes the profile data from the live database. Account deletion can be requested via the Contact page.
6. Security
Passwords are stored only as salted bcrypt hashes; sessions use signed, http-only cookies; all admin actions are restricted to designated operator accounts.
