Privacy Policy
Your privacy is central to how this platform is built. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
- Account details — name, e-mail address and a password (stored only as a salted cryptographic hash).
- Profile details — the matrimony information you choose to enter: personal, family, education, community, and birth details (date, time, place) used to generate the jathagam.
- Photos — up to six per profile, stored on our server only.
- Usage records — counts of interests, contact views and porutham checks, used to enforce plan allowances.
2. How your information is used
- Profile details are shown only to signed-in members browsing the directory.
- Phone number and e-mail are never shown publicly. They are revealed to another member only after both sides accept each other's interest.
- Birth details are used to compute the jathagam and porutham on this server; they are not sent to any third-party service.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd. We receive only the order ID, payment ID and plan confirmation — never your card, UPI or banking credentials. Razorpay's own privacy policy governs the payment step.
4. Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers. Information is disclosed only if required by law.
5. Retention & deletion
You can pause a profile (hides it from browse) or delete it entirely from Manage Profiles — deletion removes the profile data from the live database. Account deletion can be requested via the Contact page.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed with scrypt and per-user salts; sessions use signed, http-only cookies; all admin actions are restricted to designated operator accounts.
